Daniel Ruiz was appointed Managing Director in September 2013. He was previously a partner in the Delivery Cell Partnership; a niche consultancy for whom he delivered operational and procurement consultancy services to the public and private sector clients. While at the Delivery Cell, Daniel also carried out a number of extended periods in interim management: as Head of Real Time Operations for TfL Surface Transport; as Start-up Director for the Transport Systems Catapult; and as the Programme Director for the London 2012 Transport Coordination Centre.
Daniel has a doctorate in materials science and computer simulation from Oxford University, and a degree in engineering science from Cambridge University. He is a Chartered Engineer and a Member of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers.

Daniel lives near Winchester with his wife (Mel) 1.5 dogs and 3 children – two of whom show signs of leaving home! He used to be a very competent trumpet player and enjoys road cycling around Hampshire.
